Purpose of the Role: To oversee the day-to-day operations of the accommodation property as the on-site lead, ensuring seamless service delivery while reporting to GRRC senior management. This role suits a hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys guest interaction and can confidently balance front-of-house service with administrative and operational duties in a personalised hospitality environment.Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
Managing daily property operations in line with company standards and procedures Overseeing reservations systems, guest communication, booking accuracy and reporting Supervising housekeeping operations, conducting quality control checks and managing stock Coordinating and supervising on-site staff, shift planning and task allocation Handling guest relations, complaints and service delivery standards Monitoring maintenance, compliance, operational records and reporting to management Being available after hours for operational emergencies and escalations Criteria
23 years experience in accommodation operations (guesthouse, lodge, boutique hotel or similar) Proven reservations management experience Strong understanding of housekeeping operations and staff supervision Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle (compulsory) Must reside in or near Stellenbosch Remuneration and Hours of Work
Full-time, live-out position On-site presence required with after-hours availability for emergencies Market-related salary dependent on experience
