Description:
A well-established and reputable manufacturing company based in Maitland, Cape Town is seeking to appoint a highly driven and disciplined Production Supervisor 2nd Operations to lead shop floor performance within a high-volume production environment.
This role requires a technically strong, hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and can drive output, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement with authority and precision.
Minimum Requirements
Qualification in Operations Management or Production Management or Industrial Engineering(Essential)
Mechanical Engineering or related technical qualification (Preferred)
Minimum 5 years experience in a high-volume manufacturing or mechanical production environment
Proven supervision and shop floor leadership experience
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
Experience in line balancing, production control, and root cause analysis
ERP system exposure
Fluent in English and Afrikaans (preferred)
SA Citizens only
Must be Criminal Clear
Must reside in the Greater Cape Town area or be prepared to relocate at your own cost.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Throughput
Execute daily production plans in line with takt time and output targets
Ensure On Time Delivery (OTD) and optimal capacity utilisation
Balance production lines and manage labour allocation efficiently
