Description:

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support a small team of finance clerks Prepare, review, and approve customer quotes and invoicing Review credit notes, supplier invoices, and journals for accuracy Process and reconcile bank accounts and petty cash Count stock and petty cash, and investigate variances Calculate and verify wages, salaries, and commissions Submit VAT201, EMP201, EMP501, Provisional Tax, and Income Tax returns Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including asset purchases, disposals, and depreciation Manage stock, production, sales, and standard costing adjustments Investigate discrepancies and provide management reports Assist with supplier or customer account queries Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports Submit ROE documentation for WCA Attend to ad hoc operational issues, such as client site visits, trade references, and client queries
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Degree or Diploma in Accounting Minimum 3 years experience in a similar financial / accounting role Proven experience managing or overseeing junior staff Strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance Hands-on, detail-oriented and operationally focused Proficiency in: Pastel Partner VIP Payroll SARS eFiling Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
