Description:
A tlantic Black (Pty) Ltd seeks to employ a self-motivated and target driven Production Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of the farm in the Trawal / Klawer area.
Responsibilities:
· Implement best horticultural practices to ensure high productivity and the achievement of production targets
· Manage irrigation system
· Manage fertilizing, pest control and weed control programs
· Berry orchard practices and ongoing quality control
· Packhouse responsibilities during harvest season
· Liaise with Head Manager with regards to budget management
· Ensure compliance with all audit and legislation requirements
· Personnel management of +- 300 employees
Requirements:
· Matric with a relevant agricultural qualification
· At least 3 years’ practical experience in fruit production and personnel management
· Strong leadership and management skills
· Driver’s license and PDP
· Computer literate (MS Office)
· Willing to work overtime, weekend duties and reside on the farm
· Extremely organized, well-presented and the ability to work independently
· Fluently in Afrikaans and English
