Description:
The lodge situated within the Greater Kruger in Limpopo accommodates a maximum of 18 guests and operates in a remote bush environment. The Assistant Lodge Management Couple will work closely with senior management, assisting across all departments to ensure consistent service delivery, operational efficiency, and exceptional guest experiences.Candidate Responsinilities:
- Assist with guest arrivals, departures, and hosting throughout the guest journey
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and attention to detail
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and special requests professionally
- Support daily lodge operations and activity planning
- Assist with reservations, guest communications, and administration
- Support purchasing, stock control, and supplier coordination
- Assist with bar stock control, sales tracking, and cost awareness
- Assist with staff supervision, duty allocations, and leave rosters
- Support staff performance, morale, and service standards
- Step in across departments as needed, including front of house, housekeeping, and maintenance coordination
- Assist with oversight of food and beverage service standards
- Support stock control, service flow, and cost management
- Participate in daily briefings and operational planning
- Assist with basic reporting and administrative tasks
- Ensure lodge standards, SOPs, and safety procedures are upheldCore Criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years hospitality experience, preferably in an assistant lodge management or supervisory role
- Previous experience within a lodge or remote hospitality environment preferred
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Hands-on, adaptable, and proactive approach
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Sober habits
- Willing and able to live on site in a remote bush environment
- No children or petsThis is a live-in position.
