Description:
The lodge situated within the Greater Kruger in Limpopo accommodates a maximum of 18 guests and operates in a remote bush environment. This role is best suited to hands-on, organised individuals with a strong background in safari lodge operations and team leadership.Candidate Responsibilities:
- Oversee all guest interactions and ensure consistently high levels of service and hospitality
- Manage arrivals, departures, special requests, and guest feedback
- Act as ambassadors for the lodge, delivering warm, professional hosting at all times
- Full oversight of daily lodge operations and activity planning
- Safari guide and activity scheduling
- Staff leave planning and roster management
- Purchasing and supplier coordination
- Bar stock control and sales oversight
- Month-end reporting and basic financial administration
- Lead, supervise, and motivate all lodge departments including guiding, housekeeping, kitchen, front-of-house, and maintenance
- Ensure staff performance, discipline, and morale are maintained
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and service-driven team culture
- Ensure smooth F&B operations, service standards, and stock control
- Maintain cost awareness and quality consistencyCore Criteria:
- Minimum of 5 years proven lodge management experience
- Strong organisational, planning, and leadership skills
- Solid understanding of food & beverage operations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Hands-on, solutions-focused approach
- Sober habits
- Willing and able to live on site in a remote bush environment
- No children or pets This is a live-in position.
