General Kitchen Staff for a Takeaway
Key Responsibilities
· Food Preparation: Washing, chopping, meal preparation.
· Cooking: Preparing meals according to recipes and standards.
· Order Assembly: Accurately packing food for takeaway orders.
· Cleaning: Washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning equipment, and disposing of waste. Cleaning of kitchen and front of house duties is expected from everyone
· Stock Control: Receiving deliveries, storing items, checking sell-by dates, and rotating stock.
· Hygiene & Safety: Adhering to all health and food safety.
· Support: Assisting daily kitchen, kitchen managers, and sometimes front-of-house staff.
Essential Skills & Requirements
· Experience: Previous kitchen or café experience preferred but not required.
· Work Ethic: Ability to work efficiently under pressure, punctuality, and strong time management.
· Teamwork: Good communication and ability to collaborate with the kitchen team.
· Hygiene: Strong focus on cleanliness and food safety.
· Transport: Own transport or willingness to use public transport to get to and from work.
· Literacy: Afrikaans and English

Very Important:
Must reside in the Northern Suburbs
No criminal record
Sober habits
Work hours:
7:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
7:00am to 1:00pm Every second Saturday
