POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and keeping the store clean, organised, and welcoming. You’ll be responsible for ensuring every customer has a positive experience while contributing to the daily operations and success of the store.
WORKING HOURS

Full-time: 8-hour shifts (rotational)

Shift 1: 08:00 – 16:00

Shift 2: 12:00 – 20:00

Includes a 1-hour break
-
You must be available to rotate between both shifts as required by the store schedule.
SALARY & INCENTIVES

Basic Salary: R5,500 per month

Earn additional income based on individual sales performance

REQUIREMENTS
To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:-
Minimum 1 year of retail sales experience (fashion, homeware, or accessories preferred)

Must be confident, friendly, and not shy to approach or assist customers

Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
-
Able to stand, walk, and move around the store for long periods without discomfort
-
Must have a valid South African ID or a valid work permit
-
Experience with daily, weekly, or monthly sales targets and commissions
-
Well-groomed with a neat, professional appearance
-
Punctual, responsible, and able to work well with others
-
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
-
Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Welcoming customers with a friendly attitude and offering product assistance
-
Reaching individual and store sales targets and upselling where appropriate
-
Handling customer purchases accurately through the Point-of-Sale (POS) system
-
Answering questions, assisting with styling/homeware selections, and resolving customer concerns
-
Keeping the store clean, tidy, and visually appealing at all times
-
Completing daily cleaning tasks (wiping surfaces, sweeping, dusting, maintaining fitting rooms, etc.)

Performing regular stock counts, assisting with unpacking and checking new deliveries
-
Assisting with pricing, merchandising, and visual displays
-
Ensuring the back stockroom and front-of-house areas are organised

Reporting low stock or customer requests to the store manager
-
Supporting your teammates and contributing to a collaborative team environment
