Warehouse Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a large and growing company in the ceramics manufacturing industry. The employer has strong warehouse and distribution operations and is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team.
About the Role
The Warehouse Manager will take full responsibility for the daily warehouse operations. This includes receiving, storing and dispatching stock, managing staff, and making sure everything runs safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands warehouse work and can lead a team on the floor. Must have ceramics experience
Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations
Ensure all stock is received, stored and dispatched correctly and on time
Check quantities and make sure records are accurate
Organise stock in the correct locations according to warehouse layout
Monitor daily warehouse activities and prevent stock loss or theft
Process Improvement
Look at current warehouse processes and improve efficiency
Identify problems and fix delays or bottlenecks
Help improve overall warehouse performance
Safety & Housekeeping
Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe and well organised (6S standards)
Do regular safety checks and report any risks
Make sure fire and safety rules are followed at all times
Train staff on safety and correct working procedures
