Position: Area Manager – Sales Technician
Location: KwaZulu-Natal (Richards Bay Area)
Closing date: 31 March 2026
We are inviting applications from suitable internal candidates for the position of Area Manager at our KZN Branch. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving business growth, technical oversight, and ensuring exceptional customer service across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow market share in the region.
Conduct sales pitches / presentations
Provide latest pricing to prospective clients
Close sale (meeting set targets)
Have Credit Application / Customer detail form completed and signed by customer
Ensure Credit Application is signed by necessary parties
Compile presentations where required
Sales & Customer Liaison
Ensure regular visits to current customers
Assess and determine customer future needs.
Make recommendations regarding requirements and take orders or arrange with
Tele sales
Perform demonstrations when required
Update customers on new products / specials / pricing
Ensure service reports are completed and signed by customer
Services & Technical Oversight
Conduct routine service calls
Attend to callouts
Service / maintain equipment
Arrange repairs if required
Installations
Receive installation request
Requisition equipment from Admin Department
Collect equipment from Equipment Store
Install equipment at customer premises
Return signed Proof of Delivery and Equipment Loan Agreement
Product Knowledge
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products and ensure the team is well-trained.Planning, Administration& Reporting Conduct strategic planning, manage administrative tasks, and prepare accurate reports for management.
Ad hoc duties
Minimum Requirements:
Reliable Vehicle and valid
Electrical qualification (basic electricity)
Strong sales and customer service background- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical knowledge relevant to the industry
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
