Description:
Our client operates within the conservation and tourism sector, providing services and infrastructure to support a game reserve environment. The team is focused on maintaining facilities and ensuring a safe and well-kept environment for staff and visitors.The maintenance assistant will be responsible for a range of construction, maintenance, and general labour tasks. This includes building repairs, painting, tilling, and operating machinery where required. The role requires hands-on experience and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general building and construction tasks Conduct repairs and maintenance of facilities Painting and finishing work as required Tilling and preparing grounds for landscaping or agricultural purposes Operate tractors and other light machinery Assist with general labour duties around the reserve Ensure equipment is maintained and stored correctly Follow safety procedures while working on-site Support team with ad-hoc maintenance projects Maintain a clean and organized work environment Key Attributes:
Reliable and punctual Physically fit and able to handle manual labour Good attention to detail Ability to work independently and in a team Responsible and safety-conscious Requirements:
Previous experience in building, maintenance, or general labour Ability to drive a tractor (Non-Negotiable) Valid Code B drivers license Skilled in painting, tilling and maintenance work. Remuneration:
Basic Salary: R7,500R8,000 monthly
Accommodation: Onsite - Unfurnished accommodation.
