Description:

Key Performance Areas: Oversee production of manufactured product in terms of Systems demands and quality control Sustaining acceptable work standards, discipline and housekeeping of factories countrywide Ensuring specific compliance to all legislative requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act in particular and other relevant legislation in general Implementing and improving systems and standards at factories in order to ensure satisfactory production standards. Ensure the implementation of SOPs and policies to ensure the maintenance of required standards.Our client is a growing company and plans to fill a national manager's position to fulfil abovementioned tasks. A mid-range candidate with at least 5 to 10 years' experience in abovementioned KPAs with the potential to grow the division will be considered provided that compliance to the following skills profile can be established: Competence in OHSA; An understanding of the basic principles of ISO compliance; Technical background with basic understanding of mechanics and electrical standards; Knowledge of production systems in general for the manufacturing industry; Skilled in the formulation and drafting policies and SOPs for the production environment; A good understanding of the principles of quality control; Chair and conduct managerial meetings; and The ability to train and guide production managers and supervisors.The abovementioned skills profile is relatively wide and formal qualifications may not be necessary, although a formal qualification in at least one of the qualifying areas is preferred. In general, the candidate needs to demonstrate provable experience in the majority of these fields.
