Job & Role Description:Im looking to connect with Senior COBOL Developers who have strong problem-solving ability and proven experience supporting and enhancing critical banking systems. By partnering with me, youll be considered for a contract role focused on system stability, incident resolution, and targeted enhancements within a domestic payments environment, working closely with development and support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, maintain, and enhance core banking and payment systems
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production incidents in a high-pressure environment
- Perform batch and online processing support and enhancements
- Participate in smaller development tasks and system improvements
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams
- Contribute to system stability, efficiency, and modernisation initiatives
- Participate in standby and operational support rotations
Job Experience and Skills Required: Education:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience:
- 7+ years COBOL development experience
