Description:
The Role As a Data Scientist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuaries, underwriters and business stakeholders to develop innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance operational performance and commercial outcomes. You will play a key role in analysing large datasets, developing predictive models and building scalable data solutions within a modern cloud-enabled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and correlations
- Develop, test and validate machine learning models and statistical algorithms
- Build and operationalise predictive models to generate actionable insights
- Design and develop BI solutions using the Microsoft BI Stack
- Develop scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
- Automate recurring reporting and analytical processes
- Participate in the design, development and support of reporting and analytics platforms
- Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
- Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Technical Requirements
- Bachelors degree or Diploma in Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or IT
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience, preferably within insurance or financial services
- Strong proficiency in Power BI (essential)
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (essential)
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (essential)
- Advanced skills in Python and/or R (critical)
- Strong SQL expertise including Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL (critical)
