Job Purpose
An established ENT practice in Rosebank is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist / Practice Manager (ENT Practice)to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the front office. The role requires strong knowledge of medical aid processes, ICD codes, authorisations, and excellent patient service skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage front desk operations and patient reception in a professional and compassionate manner
Schedule patient appointments and manage the doctor’s diary
Process medical aid claims, authorisations, and pre-approvals
Capture and verify ICD-10 codes accurately
Liaise with medical aids regarding benefits, payments, and authorisation requirements
Handle patient queries, billing enquiries, and follow-ups
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure POPIA compliance
General administrative duties to support the practice
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience as a medical receptionist/front office administrator (ENT or specialist practice preferred)
Strong knowledge of medical aid procedures, ICD-10 coding, and authorisations (essential)
Experience working directly with medical aids and patient billing processes
Excellent communication and customer service skills
