Description:
My client is looking for an Afrikaans speaking, proactive, highly organised Sales Support administrator for this office in Bellville (Cape Town).Candidates must already live in Bellville or the surrounding areas.- This person will assist the sales team with administration, coordination, and customer service functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth internal processes, accurate documentation, and timely communication between the sales team, clients, and internal departments.
Sales Administration
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales documentation as instructed by the sales team
- Process sales orders accurately and ensure all supporting documentation is complete
- Maintain and update customer records on internal systems
- Communicate with customers regarding quotations, orders, delivery timelines, and general enquiries
- Follow up on outstanding quotations and payments
- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure on-time delivery
- Handle basic customer queries and escalate complex issues when required
- Assist with preparation of marketing materials for exhibitions and events
- Liaise between sales, finance, and operations departments
- Ensure proper filing and organisation of all sales-related documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales databases
- Track order status and keep the sales team informed
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales activity reports
- Monitor inventory levels (where applicable) and inform the sales team
- Analyse historical sales data to identify marketing opportunities and evaluate campaign impact
- Provide general administrative support to the sales department
- Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems
- Assist management with ad-hoc tasks related to sales operations
- Matric
- Confident in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written)
- 3 – 5 years proven experience in a sales support, sales coordination / administrative role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience working on Pastel
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
- Detail-oriented and process-driven
- Reliable and deadline-focused
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive in following up and resolving issue
