Quantity Surveyor – Construction (Cape Town)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Cape Town.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction industry
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on building or civil projects
- Strong working knowledge and experience with NEC3 and JBCC contracts
- Ability to prepare and manage budgets, cost reports, and valuations
- Experience with tendering, procurement, and subcontractor management
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills
- Proficient in relevant QS software and Microsoft Office
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
- Manage project costs and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle
- Administer and manage NEC3 and JBCC contracts
- Evaluate subcontractor claims and prepare payment certificates
- Monitor variations and prepare final accounts
- Provide regular financial reports to management
