Description:

DUTIES:

  • Attract new sponsorships and donations against set targets
  • Research and identify potential funders and funding opportunities
  • Initiate and build relationships through face to face engagements, networking events, Cold calling etc
  • Prepare and submit a targeted number of fundraising proposals per month
  • Manage and service an allocated donor portfolio
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and reporting obligations
  • Liaise with Projects teams to identify funding needs and develop compelling proposals
  • Maintain accurate donor records and track fundraising activities on the database
  • Achieve fundraising targets as agreed upon

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

· Grade 12/Matric

· A Fundraising or Sales & Marketing Certificate will be an advantage

· A valid driver's license

· Proven experience in sales or fundraising

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in Sales and/or Fundraising

  • Applicants must be self-motivated, energetic and mature
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders face to face, telephonically and through other electronic communication channels
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be dedicated, persistent and resilient
  • Possesses a broad network of associates and professional contacts
  • Ability to interact confidently with individuals at all levels of society
  • Demonstrates creativity, innovation and an entrepreneurial approach to fundraising
  • Be versatile, adaptable and able to show initiative
  • Capable of working under pressure while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
