Our client is looking for a motivated Junior Diesel Mechanic to join their Cape Town (Wetton) branch. This position is ideal for a recently qualified mechanic seeking hands-on experience working on Mercedes-Benz trucks, assisting with servicing, repairs, breakdowns, and general workshop duties in a high-pressure environment.Responsibilities:
Assist with the servicing, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles, specifically Mercedes-Benz trucks Diagnose mechanical faults and assist with breakdown repairs Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance Support senior mechanics with complex mechanical repairs Ensure all work is carried out according to safety and quality standards Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment Complete job cards and basic technical documentation accurately Assist with welding and spray-painting tasks where required Be available for overtime and emergency breakdown support Requirements:
Qualified Diesel Mechanic Experience working with Mercedes-Benz trucks Recently qualified and seeking workplace experience Strong work ethic and hands-on attitude Ability to work under pressure Valid South African drivers license (EC licence advantageous) Willingness to work overtime and attend to mechanical breakdowns Welding and spray-painting skills will be advantageous Please note only candidates that meet the minimum requirements will be considered.
