Diesel Technician Western Cape
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate is hands-on, experienced with heavy-duty vehicles and machinery, and committed to delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults accurately.
Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Test and troubleshoot vehicles and machinery to identify issues.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and workshop procedures.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a smooth workflow in the workshop.
Advise management on parts, repairs, and equipment performance.
Requirements & Skills:
Completed N1N3 / NQF 4 in Mechanical or Diesel Engineering.
Trade Test qualification as Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic.
Minimum 35 years experience in diesel vehicle or heavy equipment maintenance.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Knowledge of workshop safety protocols and mechanical systems.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of workmanship.
