Description:
The Business Development Officer - Sales will play a pivotal role in driving sales and client engagement within the events industry. Assists the Sales Manager in the identification, engagement and relationship building of existing and new private and public sector clients, agencies, departments etc. in order to support existing business operations including the organisation's facilities to the NGO market, filming, events or conferencing and to expand business opportunities that support the organisation. Maintains the current client relationships and forms new client relationships within GPG and the private sector. The core responsibilities in revenue generation include actively cold calling, sending proposals or quotes and tender or request for quotations response management:
Duties:
New and existing business maintenance;
Business development;
Market research;
Marketing and sales;
Key account management;
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Matric;
Bachelor's degree - business administration, marketing or related field;
3 years' experience in a projects or hospitality environment, or new concept development;
Valid driver's licence;
NB:
This is a 12-month fixed term contract and the remuneration is R456,218-78 per annum (Total Cost To Company).
