In the motor industry, margins matter, stock moves fast, and accuracy is everything.A well-established and reputable automotive group is looking to appoint a Branch Accountant for their Midrand operation. This is a hands-on, operational finance role where you will sit close to the business - supporting dealership management, overseeing daily finance activities, and ensuring that strong controls are in place.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full accounting function at a branch level
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Review and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Monitor cash flow, stock, and operational expenses
- Ensure the accurate processing of debtors and creditors
- VAT submissions and statutory compliance
- Assist with audit preparation and internal control reviews
- Partner with branch management to provide financial insight and support decision-making
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom degree in Accounting or Finance
- Motor industry experience is non-negotiable
- SAIPA articles advantageous
- 35 years relevant commercial experience
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, reporting, and controls
- High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with operational management
