An exciting opportunity exists for a Technician Level 2 Workshop at CIRO in Meadowdale.
Line Manager : Workshop Supervisor
Job Specification:
Key Performance Areas:
General Housekeeping:
- Perform general cleaning duties in and around the workshop
- Keep workshop floor area, wash bay, power tool area and asset spares area clean and in order
- Required to do tool checks and keep tool cupboards tidy where applicable
- Cleaning duties in workshop and responsible for offload containers
- Cleaning of dispensing equipment in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Perform any other tasks as instructed by Workshop Supervisor or Technical Manager
- Keep the training room tidy at all times
Technical Duties:
- Stripping, descaling and cleaning of spares like taps, boilers and other spare parts
- Re assembling of spares and selected equipment
- Perform pre delivery inspections on equipment
- Work overtime as required from time to time
- Repair faulty equipment where need be
Administrative Duties:
- Fill in the consumption sheets with specific part description and code
- Complete and hand in repeat call details sheets
- Complete and hand in time sheets
- Complete and hand in tool checks
- Complete overtime sheets and leave applications
- Complete, sign and obtain second signature on Performance deliverables (PDI’S)
S.H.E. Responsibilities:
- Keep own work area clean, neat and safe at all times
- Keep work bench, floor space and shelving uncluttered and safe
- Wear relevant protective clothing and only use tools trained on and signed off by the Workshop Supervisor
- Consider the possible risks of activities in the warehouse
Additional Responsibilities:
- Practice good time management
- Responsible for spares and tools
- Promote company ethics and values at all times.
- Full Responsibility of own Quality of Workmanship
- Be cost-conscious when selecting replacement spares during repairs
Knowledge Required:
- Basic Coffee knowledge
- Basic knowledge of Coffee extraction through equipment variants
- Technical service and repair experience Intermediate Electrical 220v/380v
- Basic Electronic Knowledge Intermediate to Advanced understanding of a Multimeter
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 / Matric essential
- Certification in relevant required coffee equipment
- Advanced Coffee Course Certificate - preferred
- Customer relations short course - advantageous
