Description:
Minimum requirements:Core Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Plan and oversee daily outbound stock movements, ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise dispatch staff, including training, performance evaluation, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to SOPs.
- Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinate transportation, route optimization, and carrier schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Quality & Accuracy Control: Inspect outgoing goods for accuracy, quality, and proper packaging to meet customer standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of deliveries, track KPIs (key performance indicators), and generate reports on dispatch performance.
- Inventory Coordination: Monitor and manage inventory levels in the dispatch area, ensuring materials are available.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve logistics, scheduling, or technical issues, including handling emergencies.
Skills and Requirements
- Experience: Usually requires 13+ years in logistics or a similar leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and specialized dispatch/warehouse systems (e.g., CAD systems).
- Attributes: Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Physical: Ability to work in warehouses, sometimes involving lifting (e.g., up to 50 lbs).
