Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow the pre-owned vehicle inventory through effective sourcing, appraisals, and purchasing Develop and implement pricing strategies based on current market trends and data Oversee vehicle reconditioning processes to ensure quality standards and retail readiness Lead, train, and motivate the used vehicle sales team to achieve volume and gross profit targets Monitor key performance metrics such as inventory turnover, gross per unit, and days in stock Ensure all sales and vehicle documentation complies with legal and company policies Collaborate with marketing teams to promote used inventory online and on-site Maintain high levels of customer service and satisfaction throughout the sales process Coordinate with F&I and admin teams to ensure smooth deal processing and reportingRequirements
Proven experience in used vehicle management, preferably in a franchised dealership environment Strong knowledge of the local and national pre-owned vehicle market Ability to evaluate trade-ins and wholesale vehicles accurately Proficiency in dealership software (e.g., Kerridge, VAuto, DealerSocket, or similar) Solid leadership, coaching, and team development skills Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing abilities Ability to analyze data and make informed, strategic decisions Valid drivers license and clean driving record
