Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for assigned projects from initial planning through to final completion Break down project scopes into structured, manageable work packages to support efficient execution Review and approve design documentation prior to construction to ensure technical accuracy and readiness Conduct regular site inspections to confirm compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain alignment and ensure ongoing satisfaction Lead, mentor, and support project managers and technical teams to achieve project objectives Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes to enhance delivery efficiency and performance Ensure accurate invoicing, reporting, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle Represent the organisation as a technical point of contact during client meetings and project discussions Skills and Experience
Minimum of 5+ years experience in industrial project engineering or a related sector Demonstrated track record in managing project execution and leading engineering teams Strong leadership capability with sound decision-making and problem-solving skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environment Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Practical, hands-on knowledge of the full project lifecycle, including procurement, design, and construction phases Qualifications
B-Tech or B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering (essential) Category C Designer certification (essential) Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and MS Projects Valid drivers license and willingness to travel Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
