Music & Academic Tutor (Mentorship Role)Youth Mentorship Programme | Ages 16+Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Music & Academic Tutor to join our youth mentorship programme. This dual-role position is open to individuals aged 16 years and older with strong academic ability, musical skills, and a passion for mentoring younger learners.
Tutors will support learners academically, guide them musically, and mentor them personally—helping to build confidence, discipline, creativity, and positive life skills in a safe and supportive environment.Academic Tutoring Responsibilities

Support learners with core subjects (e.g. Mathematics, English, Life Skills, Sciences)

Assist with homework, test preparation, and revision

Explain concepts clearly using learner-friendly methods

Encourage good study habits and responsibility

Monitor learner progress and provide positive, constructive feedback Music Tutoring Responsibilities

Provide basic to intermediate music instruction (instrumental (must be able to play one or more instruments), vocal, or music theory)

Build learner confidence and creativity

Guide practice routines and music exercises

Support group music activities
-
Assist with performance or showcase preparation Mentorship & Personal Development

Act as a positive role model

Build respectful and encouraging relationships with learners

Promote discipline, confidence, and self-belief

Support learners’ personal and emotional development

Uphold programme values, rules, and standards of conduct Minimum Requirements
-
Aged 16 years or older
-
Completed Grade 10–12 or currently studying part-time (preferred)

Strong performance in at least one academic subject

Demonstrated music ability (instrumental or vocal)

Good communication skills

Reliable, punctual, and responsible

Willingness to learn and grow Preferred (Not Required)

Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or leadership experience

Ability to play an instrument or sing confidently

Interest in education, music, or youth development
