Stock Control & Ordering
Manage daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts across all departments. Capture all stock movements accurately, including purchases, transfers, returns, damages, and wastage. Maintain stock variance at or below agreed targets. Place approved supplier orders timeously and follow up on deliveries. Ensure correct pricing, labelling, and POS scanning of all products. Financial & Administrative Duties
Perform daily cash-ups and reconcile POS, floats, and petty cash. Capture, file, and submit all invoices, credits, and supporting documentation to the accountant. Upload supplier invoices to the relevant financial system timeously. Maintain accurate records for tips, staff meals, refunds, and wastage. Compliance & Controls
Ensure adherence to company policies, financial controls, and hospitality compliance standards. Maintain accurate asset registers and supporting documentation. Monitor licence and certificate requirements (e.g. liquor, health & safety, vehicle, scale calibration) and initiate renewals in advance. Supplier & Stakeholder Management
Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, deliveries, discrepancies, and performance. Maintain professional relationships and report recurring supplier issues to management. HR & Operational Support
Record and monitor staff meals and consumables. Escalate HR or operational concerns to management or HR promptly. Maintain clean, organised, and audit-ready admin and stock control areas. Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on stock variance, cash-up accuracy, supplier issues, and compliance status. Support internal and external audits as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Stock Controller or similar role in the hospitality industry. Strong numerical and reconciliation skills. Experience working with POS systems and stock management software. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Understanding of hospitality cost control and stock shrinkage prevention. Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge.
