The Role:
You will operate at a strategic and advisory level, leading public sector financial engagements, ensuring compliance, and guiding project teams and clients through complex regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading high-impact public sector finance projects
- Providing expert guidance on GRAP, PFMA, and municipal finance
- Overseeing complex financial reporting and audit engagements
- Advising senior stakeholders and executive-level clients
- Mentoring and reviewing work of senior and junior finance professionals
- Ensuring consistent quality, compliance, and delivery across projects
Experience & Qualifications:
- CA(SA) qualification (non-negotiable)
- 10+ years accounting experience, with a strong public sector background
- Extensive experience with GRAP, PFMA, municipal and government finance
- Proven leadership and advisory capability
- Comfortable operating at a strategic and consultative level
- Willingness to travel when required
