Our client based in KZN has a great opportunity for a Key Account Manager (KAM) to build and nurture long-term, profitable relationships with the company's key clients, serving as the primary contact to ensure satisfaction, drive sales growth, and retain high-value accounts through strategic planning, understanding client needs, coordinating internal teams, and identifying expansion opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Primary point of contact for healthcare accounts
- Build relationships with hospital management, procurement, infection control, and operations
- Conduct regular account review meetings
Service Delivery & Compliance:
- Ensure SLA and regulatory compliance
- Monitor infection prevention and hygiene standards
- Manage escalations and complaints
Account Performance & Reporting:
- Track and present KPIs
- Analyse trends, risks, and incidents
- Prepare executive-ready reports
Commercial & Contract Management:
- Manage contracts, pricing, and renewals
- Identify upselling and efficiency opportunities
- Ensure billing accuracy and margin protection
Stakeholder & Internal Coordination:
- Liaise with internal teams
- Coordinate onboarding of new services
- Drive accountability
Risk, Governance & Ethics:
- Identify and mitigate risks
- Ensure ethical conduct and confidentiality
- Support audits
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify service improvements
- Share best practices
- Contribute to strategic initiatives
