Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Sales Manager with a proven track record in the automation, mining, and heavy?industry sectors. This role requires a data?driven sales professional with exceptional business acumen, strong strategic capability, and the ability to manage complex sales cycles from prospecting to closure and after?sales support.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self?starter who thrives in a fast?paced, non?structured environment and can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, including C?suite executives. This position plays a critical role in expanding the organisation’s footprint across South Africa and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
Leading
Develop and grow a strong pipeline of opportunities within existing and future customer bases Cold call, prospect, and drive proactive sales campaigns Expand the customer base within South Africa and internationally Update sales forecasts and pipeline weekly Achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas Provide account updates, forecasts, and reporting to local and global leadership Maintain a strong focus on exceeding KPIs, sales targets, and stretch goals
Creating
Build and implement best?practice sales processes from the ground up Attend trade shows, expos, and industry events for lead generation Develop and maintain senior?level customer relationships Create compelling value propositions for executive stakeholders Maintain competitive intelligence and domain knowledge, including machine learning trends Drive new business opportunities within and outside South Africa Develop innovative, tailored sales solutions for clients
Demonstrating
Lead by example and uphold company values Build strong internal relationships across departments Maintain deep product knowledge and communicate value effectively at all levels Adhere to organisational policies and regulations impacting the sales function
