Job Summary:
The Site HR Specialist is responsible for managing all HR Compliance in a food processing plant. The plant is labour intensive with a high level of health and safety requirements as well as vast array of HR processes. This includes maintaining and enhancing a positive employee repoire, performance management, training, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The Site HR Specialist will work closely with site leadership to ensure a positive and productive work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on all HR-related matters, including employee relations issues, performance management, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with operational and health and safety issues of a workforce of 3200 employees
- Resolve conflict and grievances among employees in a fair and effective manner
- Manage HR compliance officers and employees to ensure that there is compliance with company standard operating procedures.
Allow for the strategic movement of staff within production

- Communication Skills: 2 to 3 years
- Management Of Staff: 2 to 3 years
- HR Compliance - Production: 2 to 3 years
Required Skills
Conflict Handling: 3 to 4 years
Communication Skills: 5 to 6 years
Computer Literate Experience: 5 to 6 years
Human Resource Manager: 4 to 5 years
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in HR, compliance management of staff, preferably in a manufacturing, food processing or industrial environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proven track record of successfully managing HR programs and initiatives
- SHRM certification is a plus
- Matric certificate
- Post Matric qualification would be advantageous
- Computer Literate
- Ability to converse in English
- Own transport.
- Willingness to work shifts from 4am - 9hours, weekend work and work on a Public Holiday is obligatory
