Job Description:
As the Financial Controller, your duties include the following:
Process all invoices on Sage Evolution with approved purchase orders attached
Perform first-level supplier reconciliation reviews for all accounts on the age analysis
Load new suppliers on the banking system
Prepare payment requisitions with supporting documents
Complete monthly petty cash counts and reconciliations
Submit accurate monthly payroll inputs to the payroll team
Prepare ad-hoc customer invoices and manage the monthly billing cycle accurately and timeously
Assist with monthly spot checks on the asset register and stock counts
Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records
Ensure correct VAT processing and understanding of VAT implications
Complete monthly customs duty submissions
Audit, control, and process supplier invoices in the line with the financial manual
Prepare the full creditors audit file for senior finance review ahead of external audits
Provide accurate, high-quality financial information for ad-hoc requests within the required timeframes
Skills & Experience:
2 years of accounting experience (or completed SAIPA articles)
Hospitality experience would be highly advantageous
Sage Evolution Experience would be highly advantageous
Qualification:
Completed Finance or Accounting Degree
