As the Financial Controller, your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Provide effective leadership to the team and deliver strong support to the broader business
Maintain clear, consistent communication with team members and Operations
Develop individual team members, identify high-potential talent, and support their growth
Ensure the Debtors function operates efficiently and delivers high-quality outputs
Oversee the Purchasing/Creditors function to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
Manage the Cash Book with precision and adherence to internal controls
Oversee cashflow management to support financial stability and operational planning
Drive continuous improvements across financial and operational processes
Review all finance and operational systems to identify opportunities for enhancement and innovation
Lead the development, improvement, and implementation of SOPs for AR, AP, and Treasury to ensure standardisation and compliance
Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation within the Shared Services environment and manage related implementation projects
Collaborate with IT and external vendors to enhance automation and digitisation initiatives
Champion change management efforts to ensure the successful adoption of new systems, tools, and processes
Skills & Experience:
3-5 years of hands-on experience in the finance function from reconciliations to reporting
Shared Services Experience required
Qualification:
Completed Finance or Accounting diploma or degree
Grade 12 (matric)
