Admitted Attorney – Debt Review & Litigation
Location: South Africa | Full-Time
Are you an admitted attorney with strong drafting and litigation experience? Do you have a good understanding of debt review law and want to represent clients in court? Our growing law firm is seeking a skilled Debt Review Litigation Attorney to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft and review pleadings, summonses, affidavits, contracts, and notices related to debt review matters
* Represent clients in Magistrates’ Court and High Court hearings
* Manage case files and ensure all deadlines and procedures are met
* Advise clients and colleagues on debt review processes and legal matters
* Liaise with advocates, trustees, and debt counsellors
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date litigation records
* Stay updated on relevant legislation and regulatory changes
Minimum Requirements:
* Admitted Attorney in South Africa
* Minimum 2 years, ideally in debt review matters
* Strong knowledge of National Credit Act (NCA) and court procedures
* Excellent legal drafting and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
Advantageous:
* Experience with high-volume debt review litigation
* Familiarity with debt counselling software
* Understanding of collections and credit control processes

* Confident in court and in legal negotiations
* Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Salary:
R8,000 – R12,000 per month
