Role OverviewThe primary purpose of this role is to ensure the correct cargo information, item counts, and all relevant dispatch data is accurately captured and processed. Youll play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy, shipping documentation, and real-time reporting in a warehouse/yard environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Update Navis systems and send packing lists to agents
- Prepare stacking orders according to yard schedules
- Issue accurate documentation to drivers and liaise with transporters
- Input data into the WMS and prepare daily reports (labour, machine usage, stock, exports)
- Handle cross-border truck receiving reports and escort/invoicing submissions
- Manage hazardous cargo documentation and prepare VGMs and HC markings
- Track demurrage, arrange waste removal, and prepare for break bulk
- Use "Visit Me" platform for container and vehicle tracking
- Ensure containers are stacked within correct stack dates
- Maintain 100% inventory control and documentation accuracy
Requirements
- Grade 12/Matric is essential
- Strong computer literacy Excel & PowerPoint required
- Knowledge of export and port operations essential
- SHEQ and freight calculation knowledge
- Ability to work shifts and operate independently
- Own transport is advantageous
