A reputable company in the construction sector is looking to appoint a skilled and reliable Senior Accountant to take ownership of the full finance function. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who is confident working from transactional level through to financial statements in a deadline-driven environment.Key Responsibilities:
Full financial function (FFF) from GL to financial statements Monthly management accounts and reporting General ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and trial balance Preparation of financial statements Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Liaising with auditors and external stakeholders Supporting operational teams with financial insights
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Qualification: BCom Experience: 35 years experience as a Senior Accountant Industry: Construction experience essential Systems: Buildsmart is a must Technical: Strong exposure to FFF (GL, recons, TB, up to FS)
