A dynamic organisation within the Engineering & Mining industry is seeking a Senior Accountant who knows how to take ownership, lead with confidence, and run a finance function that supports heavy operations, technical projects, and high-volume reporting.Based in Centurion, this role is ideal for someone with a BCom (SAIPA articles preferred) and 3+ years post-articles experience someone who understands the financial nuances of engineering, mining, and project-driven environments.
Youll manage direct reports, oversee reporting accuracy, support compliance, streamline processes, and elevate the financial maturity of a business that deals with large-scale projects, technical operations, and financially intensive workflows.

ð??? Key Responsibilities:- Oversee full financial reporting, month-end & compliance
- Manage and mentor a team with clarity and authority
- Maintain an accurate general ledger and trial balance
- Prepare management accounts & financial analysis
- Support project costing, operational reporting & engineering finance workflows
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and cash-flow support
- Strengthen internal controls & ensure financial discipline
- Partner with operations, engineering teams & management
- Drive process improvements and streamline financial functions
ð??? Job Experience & Skills Required:- BCom degree essential
- SAIPA articles preferred
- 3+ years post-articles experience
- Experience in Engineering, Mining, Technical or Project-driven industries advantageous
- Strong reporting experience non-negotiable
- Managerial experience (direct reports) essential
- Strong Excel + ERP proficiency
- Mature, confident communicator with leadership presence
- Structured, analytical, assertive & able to drive accountability
