Key Responsibilities
Provide mechanical engineering expertise across maintenance, reliability, and project-related activities. Perform detailed inspections, failure analyses, and technical assessments on mechanical systems, rotating equipment, machinery, and structural components. Support the design, modification, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems. Review engineering drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and technical documentation. Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and progress monitoring to ensure alignment with project timelines and safety standards. Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to equipment optimisation, energy efficiency, and reliability enhancement initiatives. Ensure all engineering work complies with safety, health, environmental, and statutory requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to support smooth execution of projects. Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and engineering recommendations.Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification. ECSA registration or eligibility for registration is an advantage. 35 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer within industrial, mining, processing, or heavy engineering environments. Creo Parametric AutoCAD 2D/3D Design marine systems Proven experience in mechanical design, maintenance engineering, project support, and equipment optimisation. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools. Understanding of safety standards, engineering codes, and statutory regulations.
