Description:
Key Responsibilities:- Provide application support to users: Answer, resolve, and log in-bound customer queries, identify issues, and offer both immediate and long-term solutions.
- Investigate and analyse system issues to determine root causes and appropriate corrective actions.
- Participate in the design and delivery of system developments and enhancements, ensuring alignment with budget, timelines, specifications, and industry standards.
- Offer system knowledge and consultancy for projects across divisions, ensuring that business process requirements and best practices are met.
- Review and recommend continuous improvement for systems and support processes.
- Document technical information and processes for existing and new functionality to maintain up-to-date system support.
- Maintain data quality and integrity within systems.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and appropriately with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
- Perform system maintenance tasks according to agreed schedules.
Requirements:
- Experience in application support.
- Intermediate SQL expertise and the ability to write complex queries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Experience supporting and maintaining production systems in a customer-facing environment.
- Ability to organize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with database systems, reporting, and query tools.
- Demonstrable technical aptitude.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1st-year tertiary level in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Accounting.
- 2+ years experience with SQL fundamentals and complex query writing.
- 2+ years experience in MS Excel and VBA.
- Solid general computing knowledge, including basic Windows troubleshooting, networking fundamentals, and application installation.
- Excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
