Description:

Assistant Restaurant Manager: One of Plettenberg Bay’s leading restaurants is seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join a dynamic team. This position calls for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and brings a positive, hands-on attitude to daily operations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily front-of-house operations.
  • Ensure smooth service delivery in a high-volume environment.
  • Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Manage cash-ups, stock control, and general administration.
  • Oversee reservations, customer relations, and floor management.
  • Assist with scheduling, staff discipline, and performance management.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and service quality.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role within a busy restaurant.
  • Own reliable transport is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of PILOT POS or similar systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Physically fit and able to handle long hours on your feet.
  • Strong administrative ability and attention to detail.
  • A positive, outgoing, and people-focused attitude – we want a leader who inspires and uplifts their team.
