Assistant Restaurant Manager: One of Plettenberg Bay’s leading restaurants is seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join a dynamic team. This position calls for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and brings a positive, hands-on attitude to daily operations. Key Responsibilities:- Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily front-of-house operations.
- Ensure smooth service delivery in a high-volume environment.
- Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Manage cash-ups, stock control, and general administration.
- Oversee reservations, customer relations, and floor management.
- Assist with scheduling, staff discipline, and performance management.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and service quality.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role within a busy restaurant.
- Own reliable transport is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of PILOT POS or similar systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Physically fit and able to handle long hours on your feet.
- Strong administrative ability and attention to detail.
