Responsibilities:
Proposal and Tender Support: Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and tender documentation in response to client RFQs and tender requests. Coordinate inputs from various internal departments (Engineering, Procurement, Aftermarket) to compile accurate and timely tender submissions. Analyse project requirements and provide cost-effective technical and commercial solutions.Sales Office Support:
Act as the internal liaison for sales representatives in the field by coordinating client queries, proposal development, and documentation support. Track and update tender and quotation pipelines, ensuring deadlines and submissions are met. Maintain client records and support CRM activities for all leads and opportunities.Client Engagement and Site Support:
Attend client meetings and site progress inspections to gather technical information and build relationships. Provide after-sales follow-up and support to maintain strong customer satisfaction and repeat business. Conduct presentations or technical clarifications in collaboration with sales and engineering teams.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Aftermarket and Technical Support to incorporate service plans, warranties, and spares into client offerings. Liaise with production and finance for project costing, budget adherence, and profitability analysis.Requirements:
Qualification: National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Cost Engineering, or a related field.Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a cost engineering, sales support, or tendering role. Experience within the mining equipment or underground mechanized mining sector is essential. Proven track record in compiling successful tenders and proposals for mining or engineering projects.Technical Skills:
Strong analytical and costing skills. Proficient in MS Excel and proposal management tools. Understanding of mining equipment specifications and operational requirements.Soft Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Professional client-facing presence and ability to travel for site visits.---------------------------------------------------------
