As the Financial Controller, your core focus will be to deliver accurate financial insights and ensure compliance across offshore and local operations. Responsibilities include:
Delivering timeous and reliable monthly and annual financial reporting Driving month-end and year-end close processes Preparing daily sales reports, audit files, and reconciliation reviews Monitoring and analysing financial variances to mitigate risk Tracking performance against budgets and forecasts Creating tailored, insightful financial reports for various stakeholders Managing foreign currency transactions and offshore finance operations Ensuring proper transfer pricing and inter-company accounting Overseeing VAT and other tax reconciliations, submissions, and payments Preparing board packs, management reports, and financial packs Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and implementing internal controls Leading and mentoring a finance team, with a focus on professional development
Job Experience and Skills Required:
BCom Honours in Accounting (essential)
510 years post-articles experience in a financial management or controlling role
Strong working knowledge of IFRS, VAT legislation, and financial compliance
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Sage
Experience in the retail industry is highly advantageous
Proven experience with foreign currency and managing offshore divisions is essential
