Financial Controller

An established company, based in Sandton and part of a global group, is looking for a Financial Controller to take ownership of core financial operations. The business is known for its innovative approach and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
As the Financial Controller, you will report to the Finance Director and play a critical role in overseeing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering timely and accurate reporting. Youll also provide guidance to junior finance staff and contribute to the broader financial strategy of the business.

Your duties will include:

• Managing the full finance function including monthly reporting, reconciliations, and statutory submissions
• Preparing annual financial statements and liaising with Auditors
• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Managing tax, VAT, and payroll functions
• Supporting cash flow management and treasury activities
• Leading and mentoring a small finance team
• Assisting with Board pack preparation and financial input into strategic initiatives
• Ensuring system accuracy and efficiency
  Qualifications & Skills:
  
  • Education: BCom or NDip in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience: 35 years experience, ideally within a mid to large corporate environment
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills, experience with ERP systems; Accpac exposure will be an advantage
