- Install, maintain, and repair steel manufacturing machinery and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repairs or part replacements.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on steel plant equipment.
- Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize machine performance.
- Adhere to strict health and safety regulations relevant to the steel manufacturing environment.
- Keep accurate maintenance logs and provide status reports on equipment.
Requirements:
- Proven millwright experience within the steel manufacturing or heavy industry sector.
- Strong mechanical skills with familiarity in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems used in steel plants.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals related to steel manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Willingness to work shifts, including overtime and weekends when necessary.
- A relevant technical qualification or trade certificate in Millwright Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
