Description:

We are seeking a creative, disciplined, and highly experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at a prestigious luxury safari lodge. If you are passionate about fine dining, guest experience, and leading a high-performing culinary team in the heart of the bush, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
    • As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for:
      • Overseeing all culinary operations for lodge dining, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, bush meals, and private dining experiences.
      • Designing seasonal, fine-dining menus inspired by local ingredients and global trends.
      • Leading, training, and mentoring a kitchen team of chefs and scullers.
      • Ensuring impeccable kitchen hygiene, efficient stock control, and effective cost management.
      • Collaborating closely with lodge management to enhance guest experience and presentation.

Minimum Requirements


To be considered for this role, you should have:
  • A formal culinary qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, Culinary Diploma).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a 5-star game lodge or boutique hotel.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • High attention to detail and a strong understanding of plating aesthetics.
  • Proven knowledge of budgeting and stock control.
  • The ability to remain flexible and calm under pressure.
