Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance plans and schedules.
- Lead, supervise, and support maintenance staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Monitor and control maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and procurement of supplies.
- Ensure all machinery, equipment, and building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and facility-related breakdowns or issues.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production and other departments to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Manage service contracts and vendor relationships, including overseeing external contractors.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Degree or relevant technical/trade certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum of 10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- At least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial maintenance role.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Proven ability to develop and manage preventative maintenance programs.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience managing maintenance budgets and inventory.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is advantageous.
