Transport Clerk
Department: Warehouse
Location: Johannesburg
Reporting to: Warehouse Supervisor / National Warehouse Manager

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtain at least three supplier quotations for required items
- Assist and stand in for the Warehouse Supervisor as needed
- Manage proof of delivery (POD) processes
- Pick, check and pack cargo/stock
- Process goods receipt notes (GRNs) for inbound stock
- Allocate stock to correct storage locations
- Prepare documentation for drawing and exporting shipments
- Debrief drivers and plan optimal delivery routes
- Support cycle counts, wall-to-wall inventories, and 3PL administration
- Respond to client queries professionally and promptly
- Oversee WhatsApp groups to action operational issues swiftly
- Perform daily IVS pre-alerts via the IPAS system
- Ensure fleet and forklift daily inspections are completed and escalated for repairs
- Track and trace shipments and arrange transporter deliveries
- Produce regular internal and client reports
- Maintain clean, safe, and secure warehouse, yard, and workspace
- Adhere to all safety and security regulations, report hazards or incidents immediately
- Carry out any other lawful instructions from Warehouse leadership




Qualifications Required
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Valid drivers license with a clean record
- 35 years experience in a similar transport or warehouse role
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to work overtime or night shifts based on operational needs
