🎯 Role Overview & Responsibilities

  • Client acquisition & lead generation — Identify and engage prospective clients to promote ICT solutions (e.g. networking, security, communications, office automation)
  • Sales presentations & proposals — Tailor and deliver compelling pitches that meet client needs, conduct demos and negotiate contracts
  • Targets & strategic planning — Develop and execute strategies to achieve and exceed sales quotas, expanding the customer base.
  • Customer relationship management — Build long-term relationships, ensure seamless internal handovers for service delivery.
  • Market awareness — Stay informed on ICT trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum education — Matric (Grade 12) essential; diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, IT, or Business Administration advantageous
  • Sales experience — 2–5 years of proven B2B sales experience in ICT, office automation, security, or telecommunication sectors

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Technical/Product knowledge
    • Familiarity with ICT solutions—CCTV, PBX/VOIP, office automation, networking, connectivity (e.g. FTTx, SD‑WAN)
  • Communication & negotiation
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present and close deals
  • Interpersonal & relationship-building
    • Client-centric, strong networking ability, and collaboration with internal teams
  • Planning & analytical thinking
    • Strategic thinker, able to plan pipelines, forecast sales and analyze customer needs.
  • Self-motivation & resilience
    • Results-driven, thrives under pressure, works independently.

🌐 Technical & Administrative Skills

  • CRM & reporting tools — Comfortable using CRM platforms to log activity, generate reports, and maintain accurate records .
  • Office software — Proficient in Word, Excel (including pivot tables & formulas), Outlook, PowerPoint

🚗 Additional Practical Requirements

  • Driver's license & own vehicle — Flexible for frequent client visits and territory coverage
  • Professional appearance — Well-presented and articulate in business environments; bilingualism (e.g., English + Afrikaans) may be desirable depending on region

🎓 Desirable Qualifications & Extras

  • Industry certifications — Sales methodology training, Microsoft/Firewall/network certifications are advantageous
  • Advanced qualifications — Degree or diploma in IT, marketing or business may give a competitive edge.
  • Multilingual skills — Afrikaans and additional languages can benefit in client interactions.
